Overview
When taking notes, there are a few different types and formats.
- Original Notes
- Notes taken during class as the professor was speaking. These notes are often very sloppy with many errors. I must attempt to keep pace with the professor.
- These notes are search-able via the site search engine but due to the large number of errors, some keywords maybe misspelled in the notes and therefore not show up in search results.
- Elaborated Notes
- These are re-produced notes from the original notes by re-going over them and re-writing/organizing them from scratch. It takes about 2-4 hours to do this so many notes do not have an elaborated version.
- These notes are search-able via the site search engine and will always come up correctly since any errors are fixed.
- Hand Written Notes
- These are older notes from earlier in the semester where I either hand-wrote them on paper and photographed them into the PC or hand-wrote them directly into the PC.
- These notes are not search-able from the Search Engine since they are either PDF or Image based.
Updates
- Categories
- The categories on the left lists the various note types (Original, Hand Written, Elaborated). You can exclude all but one category by clicking on it.
- Tags
- The various topics he discusses in class are divided between tags, you can click on a tag to exclude all but those posts that include the associated topic.
- Only Elaborated notes have tags
Here’s a comparison of the 2, the elaborated is to the left while the original is to the right. You can see how much cleaner and organized the elaborated is from the original. (If you need to make it bigger, you can click on it)
